Their Story
Meghan and Jack met in Meghan's very first college class (World Religions at 8 am) at Virginia Wesleyan College in August 2007. They became friends, but drifted apart after Jack joined the Army the following semester. They reconnected at party before Jack's deployment to Iraq in 2009. After months of writing letters, long distance phone calls, and sending care packages they officially started dating in February 2010.
Jack proposed to Meghan at their favorite spot in the George Washington National Forest. After months of playful joking of him getting down on one knee in random places (like Food Lion), he dropped to a knee after a summer hike with friends and asked her to marry him. Her first words? "Are you for real this time?!"
He was. And now they're tying the knot on October 29 in Lexington, Virginia.
